Emergency Medical Services Programs

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Paramedics are emergency medical services (EMS) professionals employed in areas such as on emergency ambulances, in private non-emergent transport services, hospitals, clinics and other allied health care settings. SCC offers academic programs in the Emergency Medical Services department (EMT Certificate, Paramedic Certificate and General Technology Associate of Applied Science-Paramedic degree). All programs combine classroom learning, extensive practical hands-on labs, and field internship on an ambulance. Paramedic students also attend clinicals in hospital settings.
