Respiratory Care Application Process

The application process for 2013 has ended. Two information sessions for the application process for 2014 will be held on September 10th. One from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm and another from 5:00 to 6:00 pm in the Community Room of the Health Science Building. The same information will be presented in both sessions. It is recommended that if you are interested in applying that you attend one of those sessions.

The Respiratory Care Program uses a weighted admission process. Applications are available for download in January of each year and the completed application packet is due to be returned around the third week of February for Fall admission. An example Weighted Admission Score Sheet can be accessed by clicking this link: Sample Weighted Admission Score Sheet (pdf). This process is explained in detail in the information sessions offered in the fall. The dates will be announced on this web site. Students must have a 2.50 grade point average or greater on the required college courses for the RES program.
The following link can be used to calculate your GPA and for a guide which can be used to plan the January weighted admission process into the Respiratory Program.

Students needed to complete an observation at one of the designated clinical affiliates. Download a clinical observation sheet  (Word file) for specific information.
