Carlos graduated in spring 2009 with an associate of arts degree through the University Transfer Program at SCC. He is currently enrolled at USC Upstate completing a bachelor's degree in elementary education. He plans to go even further with his education and pursue graduate studies as well. Carlos is a member of the Palmetto State Teachers Association (PSTA), and a 2008 graduate of The Spartanburg County Foundation Grassroots Leadership Development Institute. For Carlos, it all began at SCC, his stepping stone to USC Upstate and beyond. He credits his teachers for helping him get started and stay on track, saying several went above and beyond the call of duty to help.
