Apprenticeship Carolina™ works to ensure all employers in South Carolina have access to the information and technical assistance they need to create demand-driven registered apprenticeship programs. As part of the SC Technical College system, Apprenticeship Carolina works directly with Spartanburg Community College to register programs within the college service area.

Registered apprenticeship provides employers with the unique opportunity to grow their own workforce by formalizing the three components of a registered program: on-the-job training, job related education and a scalable wage progression. Employees who complete apprenticeship programs receive a credential from the Department of Labor in their particular occupation. Employers who register programs are eligible to receive a $1,000 per registered apprentice SC state tax credit.
