Spartanburg Community College will induct three people to the SCC Wall of Fame for
their distinguished service and contributions to the college Jeff Horton, former chairman
of Spartanburg County Council; Carter Smith, executive vice president of the Economic
Futures Group with the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce; and retired SCC staff
member Glenn Miller.
A ceremony is planned 2:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday in the commissioners dining room at
the Terhune Student Services Building on the SCC Giles campus, 107 Community College
Drive, Spartanburg.
The SCC Wall of Fame is a special award because of the individuals we honor those
who have served the college in an extraordinary manner, making the pathway for those
to come even better, SCC President Henry Giles said in a statement.
