Radiologic Technology Application Information
Ready to Apply? You must be a currently enrolled student at SCC to apply for the Associate in Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology. This application is available on the MySCC Portal.
*The following Phase I (pre-requisite) courses must be completed with a grade C or higher in order to be eligible to apply. The student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on these courses. Click here for the GPA calculator.
- BIO 112 (may substitute the combination of BIO 210 AND 211)
- MAT 110 or 111 or 130
- ENG 101
- SPC 205
- COL 101* (may substitute COL 103; may earn a grade of D for this class only)
Additional points may be earned for completing PSY 201 or 203 or 211 and the 3 credit Humanities elective prior to submitting the RAD application.
STEP 1: Accessing the SCC Unofficial Transcript
- Log into MySCC Portal and under Colleague Applications select Student Self-Service.
- Click on Student Planning.
- Click the Graduation Cap (Academics) icon on the left.
- Select Unofficial Transcript.
- Click the Degree Audit Transcript link to view or print.
You will need to save the transcript to your computer and upload to the application.
STEP 2: Transfer Equivalency Report
(Complete this step, if you are counting courses towards your degree that you took at a different college/university. If all your classes were completed at SCC, skip to Step 3).
- Request an official transcript be sent to SCC from the issuing institution
- Allow enough time for the transcript to be sent to SCC (select e-transcript for faster processing)
- Once SCC receives and processes the e-transcript you will receive an email stating that it has been received/processed.
- Request a transfer equivalency report by email to records@sccsc.eduand they will send a request form to be completed by you and emailed back to them. The records office will send the transfer equivalency report.
You will need to save the transcript to your computer and upload to the application.
Step 3: Online Application for the SCC Radiologic Technology Program
- Applications are currently open and will remain open through May 8, 2024.
- Faculty will verify grades documented on application, assign a point value, then assign a ranking to each student based on the calculated scores from completed applications.
- Students will be notified of their acceptance status by end of May.
Below is a link to the Radiologic Technology Program Selective Ranking Score Sheet Fall 2024. This is for information only to indicate how points are earned and calculated. It is NOT to be uploaded with the application. Courses with an asterisk (*) must be completed in order to be eligible to apply. Students with the highest points will be selected for admission, up to the maximum number of seats allowed.
